It is fortunate that the dresser was kept with the letters intact. I am interested in the Montana connection, as I live in the Northwest - Washington State, which is in the region. I love the description of your grandfather - my ancestry is Irish-Scots and that would describe my grandfather, also! Black curly hair, hazel eyes, short and stocky.
